Melanie Walker
Reparative futures
Researcher at the University of the Free State in South Africa. Her research is deeply influenced by her personal experiences, including her activism against apartheid. Her work, informed by human development and the capability approach, addresses higher education in the Global South and engages with issues of decoloniality, methodology, inequalities, and justice.
Adrian Smith
Grassroots social innovation
Researcher at SPRU (University of Sussex), specializing in grassroots innovations for sustainability. His work explores the politics and governance surrounding sustainable innovation, focusing on four main themes: grassroots innovations for sustainable development, socio-technical systems transformation, alternative technologies, and critical policy analysis for sustainability.
Valeria Constantini
Economy & policy
An economist at the University of Roma Tre, Valeria Costantini blends academic excellence with practical policy collaboration. Her work primarily delves into environmental and resource economics, with a focus on interdisciplinary communication and policy impact. Costantini is the Head of the Department of Economics at the University of Roma Tre, among other prestigious roles.
